Online booking portal for Whitsunday Island cruises

Sail the Whitsunday Islands is an online booking portal for all of the tour boats that operate and sail the Whitsunday Islands. A full eCommerce site, you can search for a tour by categories such as 'Luxury & Style' or 'Performance & Fun', then select from a number of boats, view the tour details and book a place by paying a deposit via credit card.
Boat tours of the Whitsunday Islands is an extremely competitive market so we wanted to give the client an immediate competitive advantage by designing a site that looked and felt completeley different to the competition. We designed an interface that while being fully functional and usable in terms of the information displayed and the user flow, featured a rich interface that brings the sense of fun and adventure of sailing the Whitsunday Islands to your screen. You can practically smell the sea and feel the gentle roll of the ocean while you select a place on a boat for the adventure of a lifetime. This design is still easy to navigate and use in terms of the site structure and the way information is presented.
It was important to the client that the client be able to control the site from any computer as he is travelling a lot. So we built a CMS that allows the client to manage all bookings and boats via his laptop. It's easy for him to add new tours, change the tour dates and prices etc. All online bookings are easy to track and manage . SMS notification of bookings will be implemented shortly which will mean even greater portability.
